Walker Mowers

Walker Mowers are by far one of the top grass catching commercial mowers on the market. It's design has been borrowed by other manufacturers because it's a great design. Out front mowers allow great visibility. Cut grass is directed into a mid mounted fan where it is blown into a large hopper. Walker mowers out catch just about any other mower available. Grass catching deck options include 42, 48 and 52 inch GHS (Grass Handling System) decks. Walker also makes larger side discharge decks which can replace the GHS deck. Decks can be quickly changed on a Walker. Walker does make a few dedicated side discharge tractors, but they are known for their GHS style mowers.

Exmark Front Mount Riding Mowers - Exmark Navigator

Exmark makes one of the best grass and leaf catching mowers to compete with the Walker machines. The Exmark Navigator is a very similar machine to the Walker Model MT. A 42 or 48 inch front mount mower deck shoots clippings into a large fan that blows it up into a large hopper. It is the same idea as the Walker GHS format.



Steiner Mowers

The Steiner tractor line consists of the 430 Max - 4 wheel drive tractor and the Steiner 235 - 2 wheel drive tractor. The 430 Steiner is virtually unstoppable and is at its best mowing just about any terrain, blowing leaves, tilling a garden, pushing snow or moving dirt. The Slip Scoop is perhaps the best attachment available for the 430 as it costs little and can do a lot. The Steiner 235 is more limited in what it's good at. It is primarily a mowing monster with deck options of 60 and 72 inches. Grass flies out of the chute. The Steiner 235 is also at home moving bulk materials, blowing leaves and many other tasks. The great advantage to the Steiner tractors are their versatility. The Steiner front attachment mounting system allows you to purchase a number of useful attachments making each Steiner tractor more valuable.

Steiner 235 Tractors

The 235 Steiner is best suited on larger yards and negotiates hills that other tractors wouldn't dare try to mow. With a 25 HP diesel engine, this tractor has plenty of power to run the PTO or pump hydraulic fluid through its auxiliary lines. Steiner 235 tractors are slightly long and therefore take up space on a trailer. On the turf, their length is rarely an issue.
